the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, we are glad to invite you to take part in <em>In Search of the Missing Growth<\/em> Second International Economic Forum that will be held on 24-25 November 2015 on the Financial University premises in Moscow.<\/p>\n<p>A dramatic decrease in energy prices, a war of sanctions, the ruble devaluation, \u2013 all of these seem to be very sad circumstances that affect the Russian economy. On the other hand, the very circumstances could be regarded as incentives that could accelerate the domestic industry development and form new foundations for the economic growth. Apparently, the old model\u2019s potential is exhausted. Why do the growth drivers fail to operate properly? Why is import substitution more of a slogan than a real thing? What measures should be taken to create incentives for the economic growth based on a new foundation? What should be done to make sure that the amounts allocated for covering social security expenses would not be eaten up? All of these issues will be in the spotlight at our two-day event.<\/p>\n<p>Renowned economists and practitioners, representatives of governmental bodies will make presentations during the first day of the Forum. Alvin Elliot Roth, holder of the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences, will deliver an open lecture.<\/p>\n<p>On the second day, panel discussion sessions will be held where the participants will discuss the priorities in the social and economic development of Russia in the presence of political and economic instability.
