Tyumen State Oil and Gas University (TSOGU) invites school leavers to join the university in 2016-2017 academic year, including within the bounds of the state quota for foreign citizens.<\/p>\n
TSOGU is one of the largest research-educational university complexes in Russia, the only university from the Urals to the Pacific Ocean, implementing the personnel training for the fuel-and-energy complex and for other spheres of economy. The university structure comprises 7 academic institutes in Tyumen, colleges and lyceums, institute of supplementary education, institute of personnel skills improvement and retraining, post-graduate, and Doctoral programs. A list of training fields is extensive: more than 30 fields of bachelor\u2019s training in petroleum engineering, geology, mechanical engineering, chemical technology, techno-sphere safety, transportation processes, informatics, economics and management, sociology, and other fields, as well as more than 20 Master\u2019s Degree fields. Today there are about 30 000 students of the university, including more than 1400 foreign students. There are academic laboratories with up-to-date equipment, multimedia classrooms, scientific, creative, and sports clubs and sections, modern dormitories, canteens and cafes, gymnasiums, library-information center, and reading rooms, health and recreation center in the center of Tyumen, sanatorium located out of town, training center, and many more at the service of students. Training buildings are situated in the city centre within easy reach from dormitory. The university alumni are employed by the largest companies: \u00abGazprom\u00bb, \u00abGazpromneft\u00bb, \u00abSurgutneftegaz\u00bb, \u00abRosneft\u00bb, \u00ab\u0422\u041d\u041a-\u0412\u0420\u00bb, \u00abLUKOIL\u00bb, \u00abTransneft\u00bb, \u00abHalliburton International\u00bb, \u00abSchlumberger\u00bb, \u00abSIBUR\u00bb, \u00ab\u041a\u0421\u0410 Deutag Drilling\u00bb, and others. Tyumen is a big industrial city. The average cost of consumer goods basket is about 4300 roubles. There are international airport, river port, railway station and bus terminal in Tyumen. It connects Tyumen with European part of Russia and Ural, Eastern Siberia and Far East.<\/p>\n
