The fourth power unit has been laid at the “Akkuyu” nuclear power plant

The fourth power unit has been laid at the “Akkuyu” nuclear power plant in Mersin, Turkey. The nuclear power plant is being built by the Russian state corporation Rosatom, and it is now the largest investment project in Turkey’s history. The “Akkuyu” will account for up to 10 percent of Turkey’s energy consumption. This can cause closing of many of the country’s polluting power plants.
